Earlier this week I mentioned how we had 8 players receiving treatment. Here is an update, it looks very positive indeed. Players in Red will probably not feature while the others will probably feature.
Steven Gerrard – Recovering from a tight groin will be available on Sunday.
Fernando Torres – 100% fit, played for Spain and scored – will be available on Sunday.
Jaime Carragher – Recovering from a twisted Ankle will be available on Sunday.
Daniel Agger – Lower back injury, did not feature for Denmark yesterday might be doubtful for Sunday
Albert Riera – Played for Spain and scored yesterday, will be available on Sunday.
Martin Skrtel – Played in a friendly yesterday, should be available on Sunday.
Fabio Aurelio – Injured while on holiday, will be out for another few weeks.
Alberto Aquilani – Recovering from surgery, will not feature for another 7 weeks.
That looks a lot more positive than earlier in the week.
I just hope that we won’t risk players who aren’t fully fit. It would be crazy to risk further injuries right at the start of the season.
