Next season, we will have everything

Posted by

After having read Antoine’s last post, it got me doing a lot of thinking.

Next season, IF we don’t have Champions League football is it that bigger deal. ” Anfield without European football is like a banquet without wine”- Bob Paisley. Of course it is a huge deal, but the great club we are we will move on. However bigger deal it is I believe it could have HUGE benefits.

In the last year player wise we lost;

Xabi Alonso

Alvaro Arbeloa

Robbie Keane (doesn’t count ;)   )

Andrea Dossena

Sami Hyypia (legend)

We are further losing Riera

We have got some great players in

Alberto Aquilani

Maxi Rodriguez

Sotirios Kyrgiakos

three KWALITY players.

Im sure we will get players in this coming transfer window as H&G have promised they will ‘spend big’. If they don’t, yet ANOTHER reason to get them out!!!! So this is IF we don’t have CL football; we will have new players in, will have less injuries than last year and I get this feeling Stevie G is gonna have an amazing season, he will repay us for this season where he admitted he has had a bad one. After not concentrating on CL football, we will be back up in that top four, scrap that, top two because that’s where we should be and that’s where were gonna be!!!

If we have CL football, than great. So we should and there we go.

Next seasons gonna be a cracker so lets start it by finishing this one five games unbeaten!

  1. gerrard is allowed a bad season. Our goalposts are now wider than the mersey! We need to spend WISELY! A striker is top priority, followed by a winger.

  2. “Next seasons gonna be a cracker so lets start it by finishing this one five games unbeaten!”

Five games unbeaten could mean five draws. After all, Liverpool were unbeaten against Birmingham…

  3. even if we get 3 world class players, i doubt rafa will use them wisely.. he will put them in his preferred position, not their preference.. i doubt rafa is the man to bring us back to where we belong..

  4. Great attitude and a breath of fresh air.

We follow the Squad every day like mad.

Can’t stand the whining and Steven Gerrard said “Button it!”, so “Button it” it is.

It has been a very injury plagued run this season. The Alonso File took a long time to close, as good a player as he is. Everybody seemed hurt all season, move on, we are not in relegation, we may miss fourth granted, we were busted up.

What does that say about where we will be healthy?

The only side to look on is the bright side really. The players won’t be “matched out” next season if we can’t get in to top 4. No use cryin’ over spilt milk.

I truly believe that management HAS to sign up some quality men.

Let’s get a move on and finish with pride and leave the whining to the cry babies from …you know.

  5. just one question? everyone ses gerrards allowed one bad season, so why isnt rafa allowed the same?

  6. I hope you’re right. I hope it’ll be a KWALITY season for us. I’m looking forward to it and wish this season was over allreday … YNWA
