Red’s World Cup Daily Round Up 15/06/2010

On the fifth day of the World Cup in South Africa there was only one match to watch from the red point of view: Martin Skrtel’s Slovakia against the Kiwis which ended with a draw.

New Zealand – Slovakia 1:1

The match was rather boring and dogged, both sides had difficulties with finding chances to score and didn’t really attack. Then when Robert Vittek finally gave the Slovakian team the lead with a superb second-half header, Skrtel’s team was on course to take all three points. It all looked good and a historic victory was within reach until Winston Reid scored a late 93-minute goal.

  1. Good to see Torres come on for Spain to a massive welcome from the crowd, although Del Bosque left it a little late I think-he defo made a difference when he came on. Alonso was as usual his best-probably one of the most fluid passers of the ball of his generation. How I miss him at Liverpool.
