Robin van Persie fires warning to Liverpool ahead of Old Trafford clash

Dutch striker wants to pour more misery on struggling Reds…

Before the great rivals meet on Sunday, Manchester United forward Robin van Persie has warned Liverpool that he’s firing on all cylinders…

The 31-year-old Dutchman started the season in pretty average form, and many were suggesting that he should make way for Radamel Falcao when the superstar Colombian gained full fitness, but RVP has started to find the back of the net more consistently in recent weeks.

“I’ve been feeling very well over the last couple of weeks,” van Persie is reported as saying in the Daily Mail.

“Physically, I can make my runs over and over again. I had a feeling that it was coming.

“I can play 90 minutes easy and every time it gets easier. I could keep going in the last minutes and that’s what you want.”

RVP’s notched three in three, meaning he’s now bagged six Premier goals in all – whereas our forwards have so far scored just two top flight goals between them.

Fans would love nothing more however than turning our season around with an Old Trafford victory, and making the striker eat his words…

If we’re to do that, the level we’ve shown in recent home draws to Sunderland and Basel needs to be significantly upped.
