Suso’s agent confirms young Spaniard is signing for AC Milan

Young playmaker on his way out…

Liverpool’s Spanish starlet Suso will be leaving the club to join AC Milan, potentially as early as this January transfer window, or perhaps when his contract expires in the summer…

He’s available on a Bosman, and the Serie A giants have agreed a long-term contract with him.

The 21-year-old burst onto the scene when Brendan Rodgers first took charge, and he and Raheem Sterling were the major success stories of the 2012/13 season.

However, while Sterling has gone on to establish himself as arguably the best young player on the planet, Suso’s floundered, and his time at Anfield is up.

“Yes, I can confirm that there is an agreement between Milan and Suso on a four-year contract,” his agent Jaime Serra told The Liverpool Echo.

“There’s a possibility (he will arrive in January). We’ll just have to see what happens between now and the end of the transfer window.”

We all had high hopes for the playmaker, especially as he started his loan spell with Almeria so excellently last term, but despite a promising pre-season, Rodgers hasn’t given him any chances this campaign.

There’s a strong possibility that we could regret this parting of ways, especially as we’re not going to earn a transfer fee from the Italians.

However, if Suso’s attitude is as poor as has been occasionally suggested, perhaps it’s for the best.
