Suso’s low release clause revealed amid LFC and Spurs links

Former Reds player Suso, who now plays for AC Milan in Serie A, has a €40 million release clause, it has been claimed by Calciomercato.

They claim that the winger has attracted interest from both Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino, and that although he has a contract until 2022, the low value of the release clause means Milan are hopeful a new deal can be agreed.

In the current market, that fee would represent great value for a player who has scored three times and assisted seven in his opening nine league matches of the season – and he’d be a great addition to the squad.

Whether Suso would be open to a return to Anfield remains to be seen, but we’d certainly welcome him coming in, especially for that price. The last two players Klopp has bought from Serie A haven’t turned out too bad, after all.
