‘Wish we kept him…’ Some LFC fans can’t believe how good Reds reject has become

Suso was the best player on the park last night as Spain beat Wales 4-1 in a friendly at the Millennium Stadium.

The playmaker is now 24-years-old and a crucial player for both AC Milan and his country.

Against Ryan Giggs’ side, Suso was Spain’s most creative threat, registering two assists and hitting the bar from distance.

It’s fair to say that Suso is one that got away…

The diminutive attacker was on our books between 2010 and 2015, but despite enjoying a breakthrough campaign as a teenager under Brendan Rodgers in 2012/13, was eventually shipped out to Italy for basically nothing, as his contract was running out.

In the past two seasons, Suso’s scored 15 goals and racked up multiple assists – and we’d suggest his value is easily £40m plus.

On the pitch at the same time, Harry Wilson was playing for Wales. Let’s not make the same mistake with him!
