World’s 20 most valuable players named by CIES – Two Liverpool aces feature, with Coutinho 17th

We got you talking with this list of the world’s most valuable players, which were decided by CIES. The calculations from the Football Observatory were based on ability, age, contract length and marketability.

The list sees Liverpool’s own Philippe Coutinho ranked in 17th place, with a price of €50-55m, while Raheem Sterling ranks seventh at €73-78m. Also included are Chelsea quintet Oscar, Thibaut Courtois, Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane. No prizes for guessing who tops the list…
