Liverpool’s Top 10 highest shirt sellers revealed: Karius already included, Brazilians battle for top spot

Liverpool’s strip for the 2016/17 campaign is on sale, and the names selected by supporters to go on the back says much about their popularity among the fanbase.

Unsurprisingly, consecutive player of the year Coutinho is no.1, although his Brazilian compatriot Roberto Firmino, who only arrived last summer, runs him close.

Daniel Sturridge is then sandwiched between the incredibly talented young duo of Emre Can and Divock Origi – before oddly – Simon Mignolet comes in at 6.

We can only imagine this is because many fans who buy the goalkeeper shirt choose his name and number automatically, as the majority of supporters we’ve encountered want the Belgian out of the first-team…

The starting English trio of Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson and James Milner come next, with new signing Loris Karius at no.10.

We imagine the German arrival will be higher on the list come the new term, as he’s only been an official Liverpool player for a few weeks now. Time will tell whether he usurps Mignolet from the side, of course.

10. Loris Karius
9. James Milner
8. Jordan Henderson
7. Adam Lallana
6. Simon Mignolet
5. Divock Origi
4. Daniel Sturridge
3. Emre Can
2. Roberto Firmino
1. Philippe Coutinho
