Jon Flanagan is considering whether or not to join Burnley on loan.

He was left out of our squad for the game against Huddersfield as his weighs up his options.

According to the Echo, Jurgen Klopp will allow the player to make his own decision, though he believes that a season of regular first team football away from Anfield would be good for the academy graduate.

The versatile 23-year-old, who can play either left-back or right-back, only returned to full fitness last spring after an injury-hit 18-month nightmare.

He was given a new 3-year contract after impressing Klopp, but is still sorely lacking match practice.

The Echo claims Klopp does view him as part of his long-term plans, but due to our lack of European football, he would rather Flanno spent a season on loan rather than sitting on the bench for long periods.

What do you think? Would a loan move be good for him? Let us know.
