Liverpool U23s have beaten Celtic 2-1 in a friendly in Glasgow.

Local lad Jack Dunn was the hero, scoring two goals to secure the win (via official site).

21-year-old Dunn is an academy graduate but endured a frustrating 2015/16 season as a succession of injuries meant he didn’t get a chance to impress Klopp in the same way as players like Cameron Brannagan, Sheyi Ojo, and Kevin Stewart.

Ben Woodburn and Harry Wilson also played some part as we took a deserved victory.

Next up for the young Reds is a trip to the Globe Arena on Saturday, where they’ll face Morecambe in a 3pm kick-off.
