Liverpool U23s rout Spurs 6-2 as one player scores two and grabs four assists

Liverpool U23s hit Spurs U23s for six as they ran riot in the Premier League 2 fixture at Stevenage today.

Brannagan and Woodburn were the stars of the show, as Brannagan netted twice and Woodburn grabbed a goal and turned in another fine all-around performance.

In addition to his brace, Brannagan picked up a scarcely believable four assists.

We were 3-0 up inside eight minutes as Spurs fell apart from the kick-off. Wilson, Woodburn, and Brannagan were the three early scorers.

Trent Alexander-Arnold then curled one into the top corner from outside the box to give us a 4-0 lead at the break.

Marcus Edwards pulled a goal back for Spurs after the break, but Brannagan then found the top corner for himself moments later.

Substitute Brooks Lennon scored the sixth with six minutes to go, but Spurs managed to pull one more back in injury from the spot.
