Redknapp & Carragher name ‘All-Time LFC PL XI’; Owen & Torres? ‘F*ck ’em’

Jamie Redknapp and Jamie Carragher joined forces recently to select their greatest Liverpool XI of the Premier League era.

It’s pretty standard stuff, really – most of the names pick themselves. We suppose Steve Finnan has an argument at right-back, while if you switched formation and played three forwards few would complain either – but the best part of their discussion was their reason for leaving out Fernando Torres and Michael Owen.

“One went to Man United and one went to Chelsea – so f**k them!” said Carragher, before both rolled around the sofa in hysterics!

Carra makes it alongside Sami Hyypia at centre-back, but Redknapp doesn’t get a look in, with the likes of Didi Hamann and Javier Mascherano missing out centrally behind Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso as well.

It’s the forward line that excited us most, mind you… Imagine a young Robbie Fowler working in tandem with peak Luis Suarez. The mind boggles!
