Worrying times as two massive Liverpool stars miss training ahead of Man Utd game

Posted by

Fresh off the back of the good news that both Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren should be fit for our game against Man Utd on Monday night, some worrying news emerged.

Sadly, neither Adam Lallana nor Gini Wijnaldum were seen on the training pitch with the rest of the first team squad at Melwood today (Echo).

Both are huge doubts for the game against Mourinho’s men.

Gini Wijnaldum’s absence shouldn’t really come as a surprise. The Dutch midfielder limped out of Holland’s 1-0 loss to France in Amsterdam on Monday with a tight hamstring. There has not been any official word from the club, but all the signs point to the fact he will be missing at Anfield on Monday.

However, most of us had harboured some hope that Lallana would be fit. He was taken off after an hour against Swansea with a groin issue. He has reportedly been undergoing intensive treatment since (Metro), but there is still no positive news.
