Liverpool fans; Everton will be without key player for Merseyside Derby

Liverpool have a fixture with Middlesbrough to navigate this evening, but after tonight, all attention will be focussed on the Merseyside Derby, taking place next Monday evening at Goodison.

Everton earned a crucial win over Arsenal last night, scoring twice in the second-half to down Arsene Wenger’s Gunners. We never want our neighbours to do well, but they’ve helped us out here – as we’ll go second in the Premier League table behind Chelsea if we win tonight.

There was collateral damage for the Toffees on Tuesday though, as Phil Jagielka picked up a yellow card which sees him suspended for our trip across Stanley Park.

This means Argentine Ramiro Funes Mori will likely start in his place alongside Ashley Williams. The centre-back infamously scythed Divock Origi down last season and earned a straight-red at Anfield, but our striker missed virtually the rest of the season as a result.

We’d love Origi to tie him in knows and bag himself a brace as vengeance!

Here’s hoping.
