Liverpool’s primary target to enhance the left-back position this summer is Ryan Sessegnon.
That much is no longer a secret, with Jurgen Klopp keen to bring in Fulham’s 16-year-old wonderkid, who’s scored seven goals in the Championship this term, as competition for James Milner.

Last night, the reliable James Pearce in the Echo suggested that Alberto Moreno is on his way out and that Liverpool will do everything we can to bring in the England Under-19 international.
At that level, Sessegnon plays left-back while Trent Alenxander-Arnold dominates at right-back, and it’s this duo that the club see playing our fullback roles in years to come.
Liverpool will likely have to pay a hefty fee for Sessegnon’s services, but Moreno being sold will likely cover it.
So in exchange for the defensively incapable Spaniard, we’ll get the most talented English teenager in the country – a pretty good piece of business by all accounts.
Whetehr our rivals will try and trump us for his services remains to be seen, of course.
