Confirmed: LFC have made €80m plus striker bid for LMC

Liverpool are doing everything we can to secure Thomas Lemar before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

We had two bids rejected for Monaco’s Frenchman yesterday, but have come in with an offer of €80m plus Divock Origi on loan, today, write respected French publication L’Equipe.

Monaco don’t want to sell the 21-year-old, but will surely be tempted by Liverpool’s latest outrageous bid, which proves how seriously we want the youngster.

It will eclipse the £55m we spent on securing Naby Keita for 2018 yesterday by over £20m – and all reports suggest we’ll be spending a similar amount of money on Virgil van Dijk as well.

All this, after thrashing Arsenal 4-0 at the weekend is tremendously exciting.

All we can do now is patiently wait, constantly refreshing social media and waiting for the Sky Sports breaking new bar to flash yellow and reveal some good news!

Lemar can play anywhere along the frontline, but is most comfortable in a free role on the left of central midfield, close to where Coutinho plays at the moment.
