Congratulations Mo Salah!
Our £36.9m record signing has won Liverpool’s internal Player of the Month and Goal of the Month award again – exactly as he did in August!
The flying winger scored three goals, against Sevilla, Burnley and Leicester, bringing his season tally to five – making him Liverpool’s current top scorer.
But his header against Leicester wasn’t nearly as impressive as Coutinho’s goals versus the same team, with our Brazilian curling in a free-kick from outside the area.
The no.10 was probably our best player this month, too, but perhaps supporters are reluctant to offer him votes following the summer transfer request. In August, Sadio Mane was the Premier League Player of the Month, suggesting he probably should have won our award, too!
Salah though has the whole of Egypt backing him and as a result, is set to win basically all these fan votes – just as he did at Roma last season.
Good for you, Mo!
