Liverpool have all but secured the signing of Manchester City youth player Bobby Duncan, reports the Daily Mail.

The 16-year-old has been with City for six years, but a contract dispute has seen him forced out of the youth sides and he’s been training with Wigan instead during the past month.
Liverpool have swooped in and will pay £200k in compensation for Duncan, who will now be allowed to officially join until he learns 17 due to our ban on signing youth players.
Duncan is an attacking midfielder who can also play up top. Against Brazil U17s last year, Duncan scored a hat-trick, showing his potentially elite credentials in the process.
Interestingly, Steven Gerrard is Duncan’s cousin, so he’ll initially be managed by a family member when he starts playing for our U18 side!
Rafa Camacho also left City to join Liverpool a few years ago, so the added first-team opportunities available under Jurgen Klopp are obviously influencing the country’s best young players.
Since the German took charge, the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn have become first-team squad members, with Rhian Brewster promised chances next term.
