The Dutchman chose to do so against AS Roma in the Champions League, making it 2-1 on the night and 7-3 on aggregate, a surely insurmountable scoreline.
Liverpool’s corner was poorly cleared by the shoddy Italian defence and Gini nodded home with only his second effort of the campaign.
He was exceptional last week and we’re delighted with his contribution again.
What an underrated player!
