Liverpool are targeting AS Roma keeper Alisson, with the Guardian reporting that we could acquire him if we offer the enormous sum of £79m.
The Italians want to wait until after the World Cup in an attempt to maximise his value, but Jurgen Klopp is well known to want all his business done early – proven by the fact we’ve already secured Naby Keita and Fabinho to bolster the midfield.

Firmino played special role in Fabinho transfer
Roberto Firmino convinced fellow Brazilian Fabinho to join Liverpool via a phone-call [Independent], and many fans are speculating that he could do the same for Alisson, after following him on Instagram yesterday.
The pair are currently on international duty together, set to play a fixture at Anfield against Croatia and Dejan Lovren, interestingly.

Alisson is a serious upgrade on Loris Karius, but £79m is a truly, truly absurd sum of money for a keeper.
If we’re going to double the world-record fee for a stopper, we’d prefer to bring in Jan Oblak, who in our opinion is level with David de Gea as the best on the planet.
That kind of absurd fee could get Atletico Madrid to sell the Slovenian – but if not – we’d still be pretty happy with Alisson.
So long as one of them arrives, anyway.
