Trent Alexander almost looks more comfortable in the Champions League than the Premier League!
Last night the 19-year-old put in his best performance of the season against PSG at Anfield, although in fairness, he was given about 20-yards of space every time he got the ball due to Neymar’s flat refusal to mark him or even close him down.

Still, with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani monumental threats in possession, it was a potentially problematic evening for the youngster – and it proved a walk in the park.
Gary Lineker stated after the full-time whistle that Trent could rack up 100 games for his country – and in midfield rather than right-back.
Young @trentaa98 is special. Can see him playing a 100 games for England….in midfield.

He’s not wrong. Trent’s already played in a Champions League Final and a World Cup, is an automatic starter for Liverpool – all before his 20th birthday.
With Joe Gomez 21, Andy Robertson 24, Virgil van Dijk 27 and Alisson 25, Liverpool’s backline could play together for years and years.
Time will tell if Trent will eventually step into midfield, but for now, we’re very happy with his progress as right-back.
