Gary Neville makes bold Liverpool statements on Twitter

Gary Neville reckons Liverpool’s front-three is better than Manchester City’s.

Jurgen Klopp fields Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino in his strongest XI, while Pep Guardiola currently goes with Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Sergio Aguero.

We think the pundit is spot on, considering Liverpool’s forwards plundered almost 100 goals between them last season!

City though have more strength in depth in the offensive department, with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane to call upon as well.

In a fit Daniel Sturridge and newly arrived Xherdan Shaqiri, our backup options are improved on last term, but still don’t quite match our rival’s.

Neville also paid a compliment to Virgil van Dijk, naming him one of the world’s two best centre-backs, alongside Sergio Ramos.

We can assure Gary that there’s little chance of Liverpool offloading van Dijk to United!

City face Southampton and Manchester United in their next two Premier League games, while we have Arsenal tomorrow and then Fulham next weekend.

We expect Guardiola’s men to pick up six points, so it’s our job to do exactly the same.
