Take a bow, Virgil van Dijk!
Not only was the Dutchman tremendous in his country’s 2-0 win over France last week, but he stepped up to the plate again last night and fired the Netherlands into the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League.
Germany were 2-1 up and at home when van Dijk slammed a volley past Manuel Neuer between the sticks, confirming his side’s passage, where they could potentially meet Gareth Southgate’s England.
You can see from his celebration that this was much more than a glamorous friendly.
Van Dijk’s only scored once for us, which is crazy considering his technique and jaw-dropping aerial ability.
He’s easily got the ability to start doing this in red!
