While re-watching Match of the Day, I took this video and posted it on Twitter this morning, because I don’t think Mo Salah is getting the credit he deserves for his sublime performance last night!
The Egyptian didn’t score or register an assist, but his threat to Watford was monumental down our right.
Combing regularly with James Milner and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Salah was our lynchpin down that flank, where most of our chances came from.
This 10-second video shows how much of a danger he really was. Trent sent a long-ball down the wing, and somehow, Salah flicked it around the defender and beat him for pace – making up three yards and taking a wider route in the process!
He then got into the box and was tackled, but the rebound came to Trent, who followed Mo up the field and crossed for Sadio Mane’s backheel!
Not enough people are talking about Salah’s gas for Liverpool’a first last night. Mental. pic.twitter.com/argLVwAa5X
