“I always had the dream…”: £80 million rated Reds target drops promising hint on his next move

Ajax and Brazil forward David Neres, who is reportedly attracting the interest of both Liverpool and Everton, says moving to the Premier League has been a dream of his for some time.

Last week, according to the Liverpool ECHO, Richarlison did his best to encourage his international teammate to head to Goodison Park this summer, so the Reds might have to get Alisson and Roberto Firmino on his case.

Currently playing for his country, Neres was speaking to the media during the Copa America, where he will be looking to impress having done excellently for his club side in the Champions League last season.

Via Brazilian outlet Veja, Neres said: “When I’m in the national team, I try to stay focused, I’ll leave it aside with my agents. Of course, the Premier League interests me: it’s the best league in the world. I always had the dream to play there.”

Yesterday, Ajax slapped an £80 million price-tag on Neres in an attempt to ward off potential suitors, so it would take an enormous amount to prise him away from the Netherlands this summer.

If he agitates for a move, however, that fee might end up being much lower. It’s certainly one to keep an eye on.
