Mo Salah was always going to be Egypt’s main man this summer at the African Cup of Nations – and he gave his nation the lead with a stunning free-kick against Uganda on Sunday evening.
With just over a third of the game gone, Salah stepped up from 25 or so yards, pinging the ball into the back of the net with ease.
If he is feeling the pressure of carrying his national team into a huge tournament they are hosting, he certainly is not showing it.
The video below gives a couple of different angles on Salah’s wonderful strike.

Hopefully, Salah can score a few of those for the Reds next season. He’s not really shown that sort of skill too often in a red shirt, but of course he has it in his locker.
Keep banging them in like that and Egypt will have a great chance of going all the way and lifting the AFCON trophy.
