Liverpool’s players were rightly furious with Joris Gnagnon last night.
The Sevilla man could easily have broken Yasser Larouci’s leg with a horrible ‘tackle’ – which you can see by clicking here – and at the end of the match, senior Reds stars were keen to confront him.
The likes of Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson all went over to the Frenchman at the final whistle – presumably to ask him what on earth he was thinking.

It’s great to see that the squad were quick to stick up for their mate. The Reds shouldn’t have had to do that, though.
Sevilla should not have behaved like that at all. It’s so bizarre that they did – literally nothing was riding on the result of the match, but they seemed to be treating it like a Champions League tie.
We think we can safely say the Reds won’t be facing Sevilla in a pre-season friendly again any time soon.
