This is one of the worst tackles we’ve ever seen on a football field, and it happened in a pre-season friendly.
Yasser Larouci was scythed down in the second-half v Sevilla tonight in genuinely disgusting fashion by Joris Gnanon – who was nowhere near the ball and wasn’t even trying to play it.
The referee gave a red-card, which is practically unheard of in friendlies.
Gnanon had the audacity to complain about the decision, too.
We cannot believe this. The player should hang his head in shame, and we just hope Larouci’s injury, for which he left the field on a stretcher, isn’t serious.
