Liverpool named as biggest beneficiaries of goalkeeper errors – report

It’s a funny old world isn’t it? There has been a study into which Premier League clubs have benefited from goalkeeper errors, less than a week after Liverpool do exactly that.

It’s fair to say we were lucky against Sheffield United as our performance didn’t call for three points, but thanks to an error by Dean Henderson, we nicked the lot.

As reported by the Daily Star, the Reds have actually gained eight goals thanks to goalkeepers making errors against us – the highest in the league. We are a whole three goals ahead of Everton and Arsenal who sit on five.

Our title rivals Manchester City have been gifted a total of three themselves, as per the same report. And this write-up, by the Daily Star, has some tone to it. I’d hazard a guess that Sam Meade isn’t too keen on the Reds.

The opening line, which has a grammatical error in the first word, claims that we’ve had a helping hand since the start of last season.

Completely under-playing the impact Klopp has had on this squad, and the quality of the players we have, Meade notes that these stats, which aren’t sourced, played a part in our success last season.

It seem as if someone has an agenda to me!
