(Video) Alan Shearer’s hilarious foul-mouthed slip-up about Manchester United almost makes up for Sadio Mane dive comments

Liverpool fans were not best pleased with Alan Shearer on Saturday night.

The former Newcastle United striker claimed on Match of the Day that Sadio Mane had dived to win a penalty v Leicester City, which we pointed out was a direct contradiction of his Dominic Calvert-Lewin analysis from a few years back in the same Anfield penalty box.

He got some stick for his comments, but his analysis on Manchester United from April seems all the more prevalent now.

Shearer stated that under Ole Gunner Solksjaer, United are ‘f*****,’ before quickly realising what he had done and apologising.

The Norwegian will hopefully still be in a job in two weeks’ time when Liverpool travel to Old Trafford to face his struggling side.

We’ll be favourites – but it’s going to be a really tough game. The crowd will be loud and desperate to end our winning run – and the United players will be fully pumped up to do the same.

The two week break eradicates any bad and good form, really, so that helps United, too.

Still, we’re backing Jurgen Klopp’s Reds to get the job done and make it nine from nine.
