Amidst the heartbreaking (and yet uplifiting) scenes that emerged around Jurgen Klopp’s final game managing Liverpool, the departures of Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara went somewhat under the radar.
The love for the Cameroonian international amongst the squad couldn’t have been clearer as he ran the gauntlet at Anfield after the 2-0 win over Wolves. Even a last loving slap on the head from centre-back partner Virgil van Dijk.
