Giving Simon Mignolet a five year contract has to be one of the oddest decisions Liverpool have made in a number of years.
And the Belgian again proved as much on Saturday, feebly letting in Adam Johnson’s Sunderland free-kick to get Sam Allardyce’s men back in the game. Eventually of course they drew 2-2, making his blunder another extremely costly one.

And following the mistake, The Anfield Chat counted Mignolet’s decisive errors that led to goals this term, and revealed an unbelievable statistic.
