It took a long time for Coutinho‘s achievements to be recognised by Brazilian managers, but it seems he’s now established himself as a starter under Dunga – following a largely positive season with Liverpool.
The 23-year-old played the full game as Brazil drew 0-0 with Ecuador in their opening game of the Copa America, but despite his team’s lacklustre overall performance, Coutinho was probably the best player on the park.
He linked up especially well with Willian, the player Chelsea pinched from under our noses in 2013, and was at the heart of everything good Brazil created.
In a strange moment, he also knocked out team-mate Filipe Luis, who barged straight into him!
