Can you believe it’s that time again already? The EUROs are still rumbling on in France (England notably excluded!), but we’re already preparing for our first pre-season friendly.

We’ll play nine friendlies in all, but the first is scheduled in just ten days.

Yes, that’s right, our 2016/17 preparations kick off a week on Friday as we make the short trip to Tranmere Rovers for the first game of the pre-season.

And, according to the Echo, we’ll get to sign our new £30 million man Sadio Mane in action for the first time.

Marko Grujic, Joel Matip, and Loris Karius are all also expected to make the non-competitive debuts, and the likes of Dejan Lovren, Roberto Firmino, Alberto Moreno, Mamadou Sakho , Lucas Leiva, and Danny Ings are all expected to play some part.

None of the players who’ve been involved in either the EUROs or the Copa America will be involved, so that means there will be no Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge, or Divock Origi, amongst others.

The game kicks off at 7pm BST.
