Liverpool will join Spurs and Arsenal in sending scouts to watch Charlton Athletic’s highly promising 18-year-old winger, Ademola Lookman.

The GloucestershireLive website reports that the scouts will all be in attendance for Cheltenham Town’s home game against Charlton in the League Cup this Tuesday.

The London-born wide man made 24 appearances for the Addicks last season as they got relegated from the Championship following a 22nd-place finish. He scored five goals.

Twelve months earlier, in 2015, the Football League had named him “Apprentice of the Year”. He’s been on an upwards trajectory ever since.

At the end of last season, Lookman went on to get a call-up to the England U19s for this summer’s Euros, playing alongside Sheyi Ojo.

England lost in the semi-final against Italy.

He played in the London club’s season opener against Bury at the weekend as they were beaten 2-0.
