Sadio Mane has been talking about his favoured positions in an interview with the official site.

When asked about where he would prefer to play, he claimed it didn’t really matter given his all-round talents.

“I’m happy when I’m helping the team, not only on the right. I can also play on the left, or the number 10 or as a striker, but that doesn’t matter to me,” said the new signing.

Mane has largely played on the right side of the three attacking midfielders in the pre-season and managed to get his first goal in a Red shirt from that position against Barcelona last weekend.

He also spoke about his goal scoring targets for the new season. He bagged 15 strikes across all competitions last season, and has a simple ambition this term – score more!

“[My goal is] To score more than 15 for my team,” he announced.
