We could watch this kind of thing all day, in truth.
It’s a training drill at full intensity, with full size goals. Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff have organised two five-a-side teams to take each other on, with the ball played out from the back to begin with.
A team consisting of Loris Karius, Jordan Henderson, Sheyi Ojo, Shamal George and Dejan Lovren (in white bibs) take on Alex Manninger, Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner, Ben Woodburn and Marko Grujic (in red).
The aim is to play quick passes to create shooting opportunities.
Milner, who’s been around since the early noughties, blows our mind, here. His attitude and work-rate is simply incredible. The Englishman runs the show, scores bucket-loads of goals and is a terrific example to the youngsters he’s training alongside.
We also quite like hoe Manninger gets so angry when he lets a goal in. Great dedication, that – when you’re almost 40 and won’t ever play a proper game for us!
