Neymar name-drops Liverpool as potential future club after Barcelona

Neymar constantly taps up Coutinho to  come and join him in Barcelona, but who knows, maybe the Brazilian phenomenon will play with his friend on Merseyside instead!

The Barca ace recently waxed lyrical about the Premier League and admitted in the future that he could transfer here, naming Liverpool as one of the clubs he most admires.

“The Premier League is a championship that amazes me,” he said, reported in the Express.

“I like the playing style and the teams. And who knows, someday, I would like to play at it, yes.

“I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool — these are the teams that are always there fighting.

“And then you have high-level coaches like [Jose] Mourinho and [Pep] Guardiola. These are coaches with whom any player would like to work.”

Signing Neymar right now would be about as tricky as convincing Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to join, so it’s not something we’re especially hopeful of!

Barca’s no.11 is the heir to Messi’s crown of ‘world’s best player’, and we realistically can’t see him leaving Los Cules unless something very strange happens.

He’s just too brilliant and the transfer fee required to sign him would probably double Paul Pogba’s £89m world record.

And rightly so, too, because he’s double the player.

For now, let’s enjoy him from afar.. What he did against PSG in the Champions League recently was quite literally the stuff of dreams.
