This is fantastic.
Sadio Mane has returned to full training weeks ahead of schedule, proving his international manager Aliou Cisse right and Liverpool’s medical staff wrong.
Sky Sports claim his initial diagnosis had him out for most of November, but he’s back up and running and yesterday trained with his Liverpool team-mates for the first time since injuring himself on international duty.
Senegal called him up for their upcoming international fixtures when he was still injured, but it’s now looking like a smart decision on their behalf.
Unfortunately with the timing of the fixture schedule, Mane will be not be ready for our game with West Ham tomorrow, but will now head to Senegal for his country’s World Cup Play Off fixtures with South Africa.
As you can imagine, Cisse is sure to deploy his best player for 90 minutes in both fixtures unless Senegal wrap up a win quickly or he gets injured again…
Jurgen Klopp will be watching from behind a sofa, we imagine!
