Craig Bellamy claims insider knowledge on potential Liverpool transfer

Former Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy reckons Unai Emery has been told that Aaron Ramsey will 100% leave on a Bosman and not sign a new contract.

The Welshman’s current deal expires at the end of this term, meaning that come January 1, European clubs (not English ones) will be able to freely approach him and offer him a Bosman contract.

Premier League sides can only legally sign Ramsey once his contract expires, but there’s been plenty of occasions where players have quietly agreed their next move in the background.

Ramsey has been linked to Liverpool on multiple occasions, with the Star claiming we’re the Bookies’ favourites for his signature.

“I think they’ve lost him already – I think he’s gone,” the former Wales and Liverpool striker told Sky Sports, via the Metro.  “Come January or the summer, he’ll be going somewhere else. Four or five years ago, every club wanted him – Manchester City, Barcelona. I think it’s time for him to move on.

“He’s become conscious of some players that have stayed too long at Arsenal and not got the best out of their ability. He’s a tremendous footballer that has had injuries. Unai Emery will be a good manager for him but he needs a change. He’ll have a better chance of going to those top-end clubs if he’s on a free transfer.”

Ramsey is hot property right now, after playing an integral part of Arsenal’s nine-match winning streak.

The 26-year-old has technical ability, tenacity and could definitely add something to our side that is currently lacking.

If we can get him for nothing, we’d suggest Ramsey’s potential transfer is a no-brainer. Adam Lallana is in his thirties and simply cannot stay fit, so perhaps the Arsenal man can come in as his long-term replacement.
