Torres, Maxi & Pepe (who has a fondness for Atletico) were not happy to see this goal but former Red Alvaro Arbeloa on an awesome pass by Xabi Alonso. It does make you wonder, both Xabi & Alvaro were virtual unknowns before Rafa brought them to Anfield and now they feature in the Spanish squad and play regularly at Real Madrid.
i have a fondness for athletico too and i can’t believe how xabi and arbeloa have changed!
