  1. There’s been a lot of conflicting reports about the circumstances of O’Neill’s resignation. Villa didn’t have the infrastructure, et al, to sustain the level of investment that Lerner had committed to (wasn’t it almost 200 million?). It’s been alleged by the Mirror that the players may have been instrumental in O’Neill’s decision. If that’s true, how despicable are some of these deluded footballers?

  2. Could be worth sticking to the Hicks and Gillett that we know rather than the Chinese or Syrian that could be even worse.
