Sheinzy, I always like to show different opinions, this is a social blog. I heard it was 18M pounds + 4M additional based on performance. Not a great deal, but we need like 3 players asap so assuming we get good value for our upcoming purchases (striker, left back and possibly a midfielder), maybe the end justifies the means? It beats being short handed with a troll that wont play. Completely agree with you. We made Masc. He abandoned us. I agree with this guy. Our business competency stinks and it always has. Owen to Madrid, McManaman to Madrid, Keane to Spurs and now Masch to Barca. Clubs around the world are laughing at us. Thinking they can get our players for whatever they want. I couldn’t care if Masch wants to leave. Let him rot in the reserves lime West Ham did until someones matches our valuation or he Yaya Toure is not worth more than Mascherano. But City can pay what they want for anyone, that doesn’t mean Barca can and we have no right to hold them to ransom over a player who wants to move. Football doesn’t work like this kid wishes it would. True, I think u shud be careful who posts coz it will annoy people and it’s a good site to read!!! Im all for every one has there own opinions but there is somthing you said that made no sens…… you have a problem with him leaving for 16mill when we should have got 25mill but you would have been happy for him to stay for 2 years and go on a free….that makes no sens for me it is the wrong price but barca knew what they where doing and so did march and it worked for them he is gone now we move on having a player like that in your team is a distration we don’t need that i just hope we can spend a little more befor the end of the window a yank who cares, YNWA mate :O) for what he done monday night i would of kept him and let him rot in the reserves no player is bigger than the club and the way he has acted is not the liverpool way. We want players that want to play for the club and understand what wearing the red shirt is all about. Am glad he has gone i liked the player until his antics on monday he has lost alot of respect. Just letting a player waste away in the reserves is a drain on financial resources and club moral. These types of deals are not new. I can understand the point that football contracts these days feel pointless. However look at it this way if they don’t sign contracts we can’t get money for them later. So its better to have players under contract as long as possible. Personally I don’t blame Masc. I feel he does LIKE Liverpool FC, but the wife pulls the strings in the family and a man’s gotta get some. Unfortunately there is no replacing a defensive mid that good.
