I’m sure that as soon as we get some wingers, we’ll actually see them play. Until then our plethora of converted central midfielders and forwards will have to suffice.

Looks like a 4-5-1 to me. Maxi and Dirk high up on the wings. With Lucas maybe sitting in a ‘Mascherano’ type whole with Raul and Jay pairing up in the CM’s with Torres lone man

Spearing? I know he’ll get it but is he really going to be good enough? Hope he proves me wrong, good to see Pacheco on the bench hopefully he’ll get on.
like the inclusion of spearing as it means someone in the team knows the importance of the game and will make sure all around him do too, must be the first derby for years without stevie or carra doing there bit.

Why are the fans the only ones that have the foresight to see that Glen Johnson needs to be moved up as a winger? For f**ks sake these midfielder cum wingers are not fit for the task. Why on earth are we moving him to left back when we have Aurelio there? The guy cant defend in his natural right back position he’s definetely not going to do any better on the left.

I think this is a good selection. Kelly and Johnson can both run forward and play the part of wingers.
Good game but we still need wingers.Daniel Agger is too injury prone and each time he recovers he wants to be playing regularly..he’s injury cost us the match Kyrgiakos has never been a solid defender let alone coming in as a substitute it’s always likely it takes him time 2 settle in nd that could cost us the match needed and today wasn’t in exception.I think King Kenny would make his impact but he needs players he can count on week in week out..Torres looked better and threatening.
