  1. Luis charge is an absolute joke, its basicaly one mans word against another, no witnesses, no tv evidence. This all seems to me to be the fa acting because fergie has piped up coz we all know in English footy what fergie says goes. This charge would never stand in a court of law! I for one will be very interested to see what happens to a certain England captain who was caught on camera racially insulting another player, God forbid the FA charge an Englishman!!!!!

  2. I don’t think we should blindly support Luis. Actually no one knows what he said. He may have said something a little bit racist. He admitted he said something but that it was “nothing his team-mates wouldn’t say to him”. This makes me believe he probably said something that hints at racism. I think that will be enough to charge him in the end. Unfortunately!

    1. i think this was Suarez’s big mistake. he commented when he should of stayed silent,so on the one hand your right,in that “if you did say something, what was it?”.
came across this link in the other EOTK blod on this subject

      http://www.espnstar.com/football/premier-league/news/detail/item705890/Evra-Suarez-row-lost-in-translation/

an is it also worth pointing out that the case maybe (i admit i dont understand how the system works, this is just the only other plausable explination than hard evidence) that they have to charge him because Evera stands by his alligations and wants to pursue them?
they officially charge him,he pleads not guilty, they hold a hearing where testimonies are heard and evidence is given and hes found not guilty.
its official, its recorded and logged, its by the book.

  3. On a slight different topic, i have quietly thought to myself that kelly could become a natural replacement for carragher. Him and (a fit) agger would make a great pair at the back

  4. Google negrito spanish meaning and it explains negrito means pal, buddy friend in spanish. The fa, media and utd fans need to go educate themselves. Don’t expect the anti Lfc media to report this!

    1. Too simplistic. The heart of the issue are semantics.

If I call someone a monkey am I suggesting that, based on the colour of their skin, that they’re lower than me on the evolutionary ladder or am I suggesting that they’re a bit of a cheeky lad?

Negrito can have very different connotations depending on region and/or the individuals outlook on race. At the end of the day, if it is this word that he’s used, it would be very difficult to judge the intent without the ability to see/hear the conversations.

I would not be surprised to see a result where Suarez is found ‘guilty’ but escapes any punishment (or possibly just receives a fine) based on cultural misunderstanding. He’d then be warned that any repeat actions would have no grounds for defence.

  5. This will be Carroll and others big chance to shine. If they can’t do something in these next games then we know how we need to shape our squad.
