19-year-old monitored by Reds…
Reports in the Daily Express have suggested that we’re ready to battle for Tottenham for the signature of talented French playmaker Adrien Rabiot…
The youngster was a big target for Arsenal and AS Roma during the summer because his contract expired in the summer of 2015, but against the odds, he extended his deal at the Parc des Princes back in October, and he’s now contracted to the French giants until 2019.
However, he’s only made two Ligue 1 starts this season (although injuries have also played their part), with Marco Verratti, Blaise Matuidi, Thiago Motta, Javier Pastore and Yohan Cabaye ahead of him in the pecking order.
Although he’s only 19-years-old, he deserves to be starting matches, such is his unbelievable talent – and a move away to a club with less competition would be the best thing for him.
At Liverpool though, we already have Coutinho, Raheem Sterling, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic to name a few all competing for attacking midfield spots – and Rabiot would not walk into our side either.
If we are going to move for any players in January, we’d likely focus on the goalkeeper or the striking positions.
