Liverpool’s midfield could be back up to full strength for Sunday’s game against Manchester United, with Lucas Leiva having returned to training today following over a month on the sidelines.
The 28-year-old was struck down during the Merseyside derby draw against Everton at the start of February. We were expecting to struggle without him, but have won five successive league games in his absence.
Indeed, he could well find it difficult to return straight to the starting line-up, with Joe Allen and Steven Gerrard having also returned during Monday’s game against Swansea City.
