There’s a growing sense of frustration with Sturridge, whose injury problems have restricted him to just seven Premier League starts and only four goals this season. To all those suggesting that his time at Anfield might be up come the summer, you only need look at the numbers to realise how wrong you are. His record of 40 goals in just 66 games for the club is up there with the very best. Bad seasons happen and we hope he’ll back to his best soon.
