8) Sunderland – Four points better (35 games)

Dick Advocaat will be hoping to save Sunderland in their final three games, but it’s tight down at the bottom of the table.

6=) Southampton – Five points better (36 games)

The Saints have been excellent under Ronald Koeman, and were top four contenders for a long time. They are still in with a shout for Europa League, but have slipped away in the second half of the season.

6=) West Bromwich Albion – Five points better (36 games)

4=) Stoke – Six points better (36 games)

A solid season for Mark Hughes’ side, who look comfortable as a middle table team.
